I have put myself up to a test. For the month of October, I am knitting something new every day. I am hoping to expand my knitting knowledge with the effort. I would love some critiques.

So far the endeavour is going well. The house is a little messier than normal but the kids are fed and clean. I think that is all that matters really.

I have been knitting since I was 6 but never did lace or anything like that. Knitting is not relaxing for me (like most people say). I find it very stimulating, following new patters and learning new stitches.

During this month I will be sure to post some pictures. Here is today's project - it will be a shawl.
